Responsible Gaming

Decide the amount before you follow any link

The single most useful thing you can do on this page is settle, before you go anywhere near an operator, what you can afford to lose and to treat that figure as already spent. Every operator listing on this site ends with the same line: check availability and the current terms at the destination before claiming anything, because eligibility rules and terms apply there and can change without notice. That line matters because everything you can actually do with money happens after you leave this site. Each operator link redirects to a third party, and from that moment the destination's own rules, checks and account controls apply, not anything published here.

Know what this page cannot do

This page has no account, no form and no server-side application behind it, so nothing published here can switch on or enforce a deposit cap, a loss cap, a reality check, a cooling-off period or self-exclusion. Controls of that kind belong to an account held at an operator, and they live at the destination, not here. Nobody's age is verified on this site and no gambling takes place on it; any check of that kind happens once you reach the destination. There is no advertising or behavioural profiling network running on these pages, so nothing here is aimed at a reader because of past gambling behaviour. The eighteen-and-over restriction is repeated throughout this build, including on the front page and at the end of every operator listing, but repeating a restriction is not the same as checking it, and this site checks nothing.

Use the independent help organisations linked on every page

Every page of this site, including this one, carries links to three independent gambling-help organisations: begambleaware.org, gamblingtherapy.org and gamcare.org.uk. These are the only outbound links on the whole site that are not commercial: unlike the operator links they carry no sponsored marking, they are set to nofollow, and they open in a separate tab on the organisations' own websites. This site receives nothing when a reader follows them. They are there as an independent source of help, separate from any operator listed here.

Decide your limit before the money is out of your hands

Fixing a figure in advance works because it removes the decision from the moment when you are least likely to make it well, which is after a loss. Once that figure is gone, stop, rather than trying to win it back: chasing a loss tends to turn one loss into a bigger one, because the decision is now driven by the previous result rather than by what you can afford. Keep gambling money separate from money you have borrowed, so a bad run does not turn into a debt. Taking a break during a session, and stepping away between sessions, gives you room to notice whether you are still doing this for entertainment or for something else. If it stops being entertainment, say so to somebody else early, before the amounts involved grow; a second opinion at that stage is worth far more than one reached later.

Understand what happens once you leave this site

An operator link on this site takes you to a path on this domain first, and from there you are redirected to the operator's own site, which then deals with your browser directly. Anything that follows, including any account controls, deposit or loss limits, reality checks, cooling-off periods or self-exclusion, is set up and enforced inside the account you open at that destination. This site does not control what happens there and does not receive anything from that account. If you want any of those controls, they have to be arranged where the account exists, not here.
